Benjamin Moore have introduced two new primers to the UK market under their specialist primer brand, Insl-X. Max Block is the next generation of water-based primers, formulated to provide advanced stain-blocking properties. Years of testing on multiple substrates in both interior and exterior environments have resulted in a product with proven effectiveness across multiple types of stains and tannin bleeding woods, providing a lower-VOC and lower odour option than an alkyd-based stain-blocking primer. Insl-X High Build Peel Bonding Primer is designed to smooth and seal weathered surfaces with peeling, cracking or chalking paint. The water-based acrylic primer is ideal for wood and masonry surfaces. This high build primer reduces preparation time by binding chalky residue, gluing down flaking edges and can be applied up to 0.5mm wet to ensure an even surface.
